2 rental vans Wed–Fri (return in Lucerne, ~2pm Fri). Trains/cable cars take over Friday afternoon onward. Swiss Travel Pass covers Fri–Sun.

3-day pass covering Fri–Sun — starts Friday to cover the Luzern-Interlaken Express (3:06 PM departure) and the Rigi boat/cogwheel, then Schilthorn Saturday and the caves/Zurich train Sunday. 6 adults + Charlotte need one; Victoria + Neil's kids ride free with the Swiss Family Card (request at purchase). Isaac assumed to have his own. Monday's short Zurich HB → ZRH Airport train (~CHF 7 pp) falls outside the pass window — just buy that one ticket separately, not worth extending to a 4th day.
2× 7-seat minivans, $680 each for 3 days ($1,360 total). Pickup ZRH Airport Wed 11:30 AM, return Friday ~9:00 AM (morning of the Rigi day trip, before the boat) at Lakefront Center, Inseliquai 12A, 6005 Luzern (Radisson Lucerne Downtown). Chris's van: reservation 1206529138. Neil's van: reservation 1206529479. Neil & Rayne are bringing their own car seat.
Reserve for the 3:06 PM departure — this is the real target, not just a fallback, since it protects daylight for the whole ride and gives a relaxed rather than rushed morning. Guarantees 11 seats together, right side for lake views. (The Swiss Travel Pass is valid on any departure, so hopping on the unreserved 2:06 PM is still possible if the day runs ahead of schedule — just without a seat guarantee for the group.)

Boat Lucerne → Vitznau (9:12 AM, arrive 10:09 AM, free with Swiss Travel Pass), then the cogwheel train Vitznau → Rigi Kulm — Europe's first mountain railway (1871), ~30 min, timed to connect with boat arrivals. Return boat departs Vitznau 12:49 PM, arriving Lucerne 1:47 PM. No ticket purchase needed — just show the Swiss Travel Pass at the gate/boat/train. Confirmed running with no closures through this period — this replaces both Stanserhorn (closed for the season Nov 22) and the Weggis aerial cable car (closed for maintenance Nov 23-27, right during this trip). Titlis and Pilatus are also under maintenance around these dates.
Sat Nov 28. 3-stage cable car: Stechelberg → Mürren → Birg → Schilthorn summit (~30 min). Thrill Walk at Birg and Piz Gloria/Bond World at the summit are both included in the ticket — no separate booking, just get off at Birg along the way. For a table of 11 at Piz Gloria, contact them directly closer to the date rather than walking in.
Sun Nov 29, ~3:15 PM in Kilchberg — moved to Sunday so Neil & Rayne can join before their early Monday flight. Book 11 timed-entry tickets in advance; high demand.
